The quiet oak in the range
Nordic Oak keeps the grain straight and the contrast low, which suits a room where the cabinets, tile or furniture are meant to lead. Cabin, the color shown here, is a soft greige, and Mannington also makes the pattern in Chalet and Lodge. The plank is 8 x 72 inches with a painted bevel, the grain is embossed in register, and Mannington draws 10 unique planks at medium variation.
Built for sun and spills
Unlike some ADURA APEX patterns, Nordic Oak carries Mannington's fade and stain resistance claim, so it is a sensible choice for a sunroom or a living room with a wall of south-facing windows. The surface has Microban surface protection and ScratchResist over a 20 mil aluminum oxide wear layer, and the HydroLoc WPC core is waterproof. Microban describes a treated surface; it is not a substitute for regular cleaning.
Being straight about materials
This is a vinyl floor and it contains PVC. Mannington's floors are FloorScore certified for indoor emissions, and that certification, not a green label, is why we list it. Nordic Oak is made in Vietnam, and Mannington's sheet lists no recycled content. Installation
The plank floats on its attached pad, with no glue. In the brick colonials common across Montgomery County, the main level usually sits on an older wood subfloor, and squeaks or humps there are fixed before a long plank goes down. See subfloor preparation and waterproof flooring installation.

Mannington lists Nordic Oak as fade and stain resistant. Any floor changes a little under years of direct sun, so window treatments and rotating rugs still help keep the color even.
