Wide, long boards that read as one floor

Antiquity is Mannington's 8 x 72 inch white oak plank. At six feet long, an open main level or a long hallway takes fewer end joints, and the full 8 inch face gives the room the proportions of sawn oak. The grain is embossed in register, so the texture follows the printed grain, and a CraftedEdge bevel defines each board. Mannington draws 10 unique planks at medium color variation. Memento is the palest of the three colors, Keepsake a light honey tone and Heirloom the darkest, with cracks and knots drawn into the design.

What is under the surface

ADURA APEX is Mannington's WPC line. The HydroLoc core is waterproof, and the plank is 8 mm thick with a pad attached at the factory, so it floats over the subfloor with no glue. Being straight about materials

Antiquity is luxury vinyl and contains PVC. It is on our list because Mannington's floors are independently certified to FloorScore for indoor emissions, and because some rooms need a waterproof wood look that cork or linoleum cannot give. Planning the install

Six-foot planks bridge small dips rather than following them, so the subfloor has to be flat to Mannington's tolerance before the floor goes down. That is routine in open-plan renovations of Northern Virginia colonials, where two older rooms become one and their floors rarely sit at the same height.
