A hexagon for small rooms and accents
Artemis Hexagon puts the white marble design of Artemis onto an 11.8 x 13.6 inch hexagon with a beveled edge. Mannington draws 28 unique tile visuals, and a carton holds 28 tiles, so a small floor does not repeat in front of you. It suits powder rooms, entries and bathroom floors, where the shape makes a small space look deliberate.
A different build from the rectangle
This is not the WPC tile. Artemis Hexagon is a 5 mm flexible LVT with no attached pad, glued to the subfloor. The thin profile helps where the new floor meets existing tile or hardwood at a doorway, and the glue holds small cut pieces at the walls in place. It is waterproof, with a 20 mil aluminum oxide wear layer, but Mannington does not approve steam mops on it, so clean it with a damp mop instead.
Being straight about materials
Artemis Hexagon is vinyl and contains PVC. It is FloorScore certified for indoor emissions, made in Vietnam, and Mannington's sheet lists no recycled content. A glue-down floor needs adhesive, so we use the one Mannington's installation guide specifies and ventilate the room while it cures.
Subfloor first
A thin glued tile shows every bump and seam underneath, so the subfloor is patched and leveled before layout. Powder rooms carved out of an old closet or hallway often have a patched subfloor that needs exactly that work. See subfloor preparation.
Common questions
Why is Artemis Hexagon glued down instead of floating?
It is a flexible LVT tile, 5 mm thick with no attached pad, and Mannington sells it as a glue-down product. The adhesive also holds the small cut pieces at walls and doorways in place.
Can I steam mop Artemis Hexagon?
No. Mannington does not approve steam mops on the ADURA APEX hexagons. Use a damp mop with a cleaner Mannington recommends.
