An affordable board with a high recycled share
Good Life is Fiberon's value composite. It is capped on three sides, has a relief profile underneath to save weight, and Fiberon states it is made from at least 94% recycled material, a blend of recycled wood and recycled plastic. That combination of a lower price and a high reported recycled share is why it appears on both our WPC decking and eco decking pages.
Weekender or Escapes
Weekender colors are solid, classic tones that look like a freshly stained deck, backed by a 25-year performance and stain and fade warranty. Escapes colors are multi-tonal, meant to suggest exotic hardwoods, and carry a 30-year warranty. The board is the same size in both, so the choice is about looks and warranty term.
Matching fascia and stairs
Fiberon makes a 0.75 x 11.25 inch fascia board to cover the rim joist, which finishes the edge of the deck and hides the pressure-treated framing. Square-edge boards are used for stair treads and picture frame borders. Both are part of the itemized material list on a deck installation quote.
Good Life or Trex Enhance?
They compete closely: both are scalloped, capped, sold in 12 to 20 foot lengths and reported at 94% or more recycled content. Trex Enhance has more colors; Good Life Escapes has the longer warranty. We price both on request, and local stock often decides it.
Common questions
Is Fiberon Good Life capped on all sides?
Three sides. The underside is uncapped, so the deck needs normal airflow underneath. For low, damp decks we also quote a four-sided cap such as TimberTech PRO Terrain.
Which Fiberon Good Life collection has the longer warranty?
Escapes, with a 30-year performance and stain and fade warranty. Weekender carries 25 years.
