Maple looks on a thicker COREtec build
Coastal Luxe is one of the COREtec Originals collections: 9 x 72 inch planks, all in maple visuals. Compared with CR504 Retro Revival, it steps up to a 30 mil wear layer and 3 mm of attached cork, for 12 mm overall. Espresso Mist Maple, shown first, is a light honey tone, and Sandstone Maple a pale cream; Bourbon Maple, Coastal Dune Maple and Vanilla Grove Maple complete the collection.
Why the cork matters
Cork is COREtec's signature underlayment. Bonded to the back of every plank, it softens footfall sound and takes the chill off a slab, and the foamed WPC core above it adds more cushion than a stone-based core. That suits rooms over concrete, and condos whose rules set an impact noise rating for hard floors; we check the rating against COREtec's test data before you order.
Being straight about materials
Coastal Luxe is vinyl and contains PVC. It is on our list because the collection is GREENGUARD Gold certified for low chemical emissions and uses cork, not a synthetic foam, underneath. Installation

Both are COREtec Originals WPC planks with cork attached. Coastal Luxe is 9 x 72 inches with a 30 mil wear layer and 3 mm of cork, 12 mm overall. CR504 comes in mixed lengths with a 22 mil wear layer and 2 mm of cork, 8 mm overall.
What does a 30 mil wear layer mean?
It is the thickness of the clear top layer: 30 thousandths of an inch. A thicker wear layer takes longer to wear through, and COREtec backs this collection with a 10-year limited commercial wear warranty.
