CR504 answers the most common brief we hear across Montgomery County and Northern Virginia: a warm oak look that survives a kitchen, a dog and a finished basement. The mixed 30, 42 and 72 inch lengths break up the repeating pattern you see in cheaper vinyl, and the wide 9 inch face reads like a sawn white oak plank from across the room.
WPC core plus cork: what you feel underfoot
COREtec's foamed WPC core is softer and quieter than a stone-based SPC core, and the 2 mm cork layer adds sound absorption without a foam pad. Being straight about materials
CR504 is a vinyl product and contains PVC. It earns its place in our lineup because it is independently certified to GREENGUARD Gold emission limits and uses cork rather than a synthetic foam underlay. If you want a waterproof floor with no PVC at all, look at Wicanders WISE Cork Inspire or Marmoleum Cinch Loc Seal.
Installation notes
The waterproof rating covers the plank core. Click seams resist water but are not sealed, so full bathrooms get a caulked perimeter. Common questions
Does COREtec CR504 need to acclimate?
COREtec states that CR504 does not require acclimation. We still recommend keeping cartons in the room at normal living temperature for the install.
Can CR504 go over existing tile?
Yes, over most flat, well-bonded hard surfaces. Grout lines deeper or wider than the manufacturer allows are skim coated first.
