Linoleum, reinvented as a click floor
Marmoleum used to mean a glued sheet installed by a specialist. Cinch Loc Seal mounts the same linoleum wear surface on a waterproof core with a click joint, so it can float over most existing floors. It is the floor we recommend when a client asks for something genuinely natural that can still handle a kitchen.
What the numbers mean
Forbo reports 97% natural raw materials, 72% rapidly renewable content and 43% recycled content. The main ingredients are linseed oil from flax, pine rosin, wood flour and jute. Those figures are Forbo's, from its product documentation.
Designing with panels and squares
The 12 x 36 inch panels lock into the same system as the 12 x 12 inch squares, so borders, stripes and checkerboards are simple. Mid-century kitchens in Wheaton, Silver Spring and Falls Church are a natural fit, as are kids' rooms where color is welcome.
Before you order
Expect a yellow cast on delivery. It is drying room film from the linseed oil and fades with light exposure. Over concrete or radiant heat a vapor barrier is required, which we include. See Marmoleum installation or the full Marmoleum category.

How do I clean Marmoleum?
Sweep or vacuum and damp mop with a pH-neutral cleaner. Avoid high-alkaline cleaners and steam mops, which can damage linoleum.
