Rustic character, even color

Hillside Hickory prints the knots, mineral streaks and saw marks of rustic hickory and embosses them in register, so the surface feels like what it shows. Mannington grades the color variation low: each plank carries a lot of character, but from board to board the floor stays even, so a large room does not turn patchy. The four colors run from the warm brown of Acorn and the amber of Ember to grey-brown Stone and near-black Coal.

Floors and walls

Mannington approves this pattern for wall installation, so the same boards can run up a feature wall or face a basement bar, tying the room together without a second material. A wall needs a flat, sound surface and the fastening method in Mannington's installation guide.

Being straight about materials

It is laminate, not vinyl: 12 mm of HDF pressed from wood fiber under a printed decor and an aluminum oxide wear layer with ScratchResist. Mannington lists recycled content on the product sheet, the collection is FloorScore certified for indoor emissions, and the planks are made in Vietnam. Mannington also rates it waterproof with SpillShield Plus and fade and stain resistant.

Where it fits
